Dear Erin Woods Families, 

That you to all who came to our Meet the Teacher event! It was a tremendous success, and we were so happy to see so many families. The excitement of students showing their friends and families around their school was infectious! We will definitely order more snacks for future events, so everyone has the opportunity to enjoy a treat.  

It was great to see so many people checking out the City of Calgary Library's "Book Truck".  Many families were able to take out books and pick up new library cards.  We will be working with the Calgary Public Library this year to see about offering more "Book Truck" stops at Erin Woods School. 

Please note that September 30^th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and we have no school that day. We encourage families to attend one of the many events throughout the city that day.  Erin Woods School will recognize this day on September 29^th. Students are encouraged to wear an orange shirt in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Students will be engaging in stories and time on the land to build their understanding of reconciliation and belonging.
