Dear Erin Woods Families,

Fall is on the way, and we see that in the leaves changing colour, and the mornings getting cooler.  The morning has a different feeling as the sunsets are later and we just want to remind students to dress for the weather, as layers are often best this time of year.

This week has been busy with learning and students have been engaged in many unique things.  We celebrated Orange Shirt Day on Tuesday this week and we hope that families were able to participate in one of the many events throughout Calgary that took place on Wednesday.

Today was our first official "Wolf Den" meeting of our Den Days.  Each student is part of a multi-aged Den for the entire year. Every month the entire school leaves their regular classroom community and heads to their Wolf Den to connect. Through shared experiences, older and younger students build relationships, care for one another, connect with the land and community, and explore what it means to be Rooted in Belonging. These dens are a place where we gather, support one another, and grow together.

Attached is a photo of some of the week from this week!

We hope you have a fantastic weekend and are able to enjoy the colours of Fall.

Sincerely,

Ms. Paxton & Ms. Mawer
