Dear Erin Woods Families,

What a week we have had!  Students have been busy indoors and out enjoying the warm weather.  We know there will be a dip in temperatures this weekend so please remind your students to dress for the cooler temperatures next week.

For those of you who have wondered about what is happening in our field area, the preparation to the site being used for our Urban Forest is underway!  Our school has partnered with the City of Calgary's Community Trees: School Planting Program and our grade 5/6 classes have been working with a Parks Program Ambassador learning about local trees, co-existing with wildlife, and the importance of urban forests/

Thank you to all of those parents who joined us last night for our School Council Meeting and those who came out for our first parent information session!  Ms. Jensen, our Intervention Literacy Teacher, shared information about understanding the Literacy Screening Reports that come home next week.  The PowerPoint she used can be found here: Universal Screening Information Night 2026.pdf

Have a wonderful weekend,

Marla and Linnea
