What a week we have had! Our little wolves have been busy! Grade 3 & 4 classes worked with Ozobots “in space” to further develop their computational skills by creating, testing and following coded instructions. They also enjoyed reading When the Trees Crackle with Cold from A Cree Calendar and completed their May reflections thinking about the growth and improvements they made throughout the month (including the bird sanctuary as a memory)!
Our EES class spent the day today exploring the indoor playground at We Rock the Spectrum where they foster learning, exploration and safe sensory experiences. Students had a great time, and we saw many smiles boarding the bus this morning.
Erin Woods School hosted our Kindergarten Orientation last night, and the house was full. New students learned about our kindergarten program, saw their future classroom, and explored many centers where they filled out passport books, and left with a new book bag!
Sports Day this year is taking place on June 19th and we are looking for volunteers to help us between 9-11:30am. If you are able to share your time, please email your student’s classroom teacher and let them know. It is a fun day, filled with many smiles and a great way to get involved!
We are hosting one LAST Book Fair this year… It is a BOGO Free one day-blitz-day on June 17th. ALL ITEMS (books AND novelty items) are included in the sale – it is buy one get one free of an equal or lesser value. It is an all day event, running from 9:30-2:00pm – parents are welcome to come by any time during the day. Please stop by the office when you arrive.
Reminder that after school hours there is no supervision on the playground. Students are asked to head home after dismissal and check in with a parent and/or guardian before coming back to use the school grounds. Children who have their parent and/or guardian with them are welcome to stay.
