Hello Erin Woods Families,

June 19Thank you to everyone who helped out with our Sports Day event today!  What an amazing day.  The sunshine was the perfect setting and students were able to participate in activities both inside and outside of the school.  Some highlights were: hockey, limbo, double-ball, cross-the-river, soccer, 4-Square, Basketball, Gaga ball, etc. Our kindergarten students also joined in with families and had a picnic set up where they could visit and see their ‘buddies’.  Events like these take a lot of preparation and support, so thank you to all of you who volunteered your time to make this year’s Sports Day such a huge success!

Another highlight of the week was when some of our grade ½ classrooms explored the difference between bees and wasps, and how bees pollinate flowers. They learned how they collect pollen and how the plants use that to make fruit. Students also learned how bees bring nectar to the hive and created a hive life cycle! Something unique was they got to see a real bee that was brought in!

This year's ORFF The Wall YouTube video has been released, and I wanted to share it here for those of you who were unable to make it.  It is such an amazing experience for our students and again I want to thank everyone who made this possible!  The video can be found here
