Hello Erin Woods Families,
As we get closer to the end of the year we start to reflect on the year while we also plan for the next. Erin Woods is such a special place to be and our students, staff and parents are what makes it so. The past week we were able to celebrate our volunteers with a Volunteer Tea and a small Orff performance which was the perfect way to say ‘thank you’. Opportunities in our schools happen because of volunteers and if you have not yet been able to volunteer please consider that next year. We would love to have you!
We have also been busy with staffing this week and we have some exciting updates to share! We would like to welcome Ms. Krista Jensen who is currently is an Early Learning Specialist within CBE and she will be taking on the Literacy Intervention role next year. We have also been able to offer Ms. Clare Spalding a permanent position at Erin Woods next year and we are so excited! A few new faces joining our Support Staff next year: Educational Assistant, Mr. Jonathan de Ruiter, Lead Lunchroom Supervisor, Ms. Tracy Labinowicz and our Breakfast Supervisor, Ms. Regan Arkley. Welcome to the Erin Woods community!
As we welcome the new staff, we are also saying goodbye to Ms. Michele Jones, Ms. Chantal Low-On, Mr. John MacGillivray and Mr. Matt Brosh. Thank you for all of your dedication and commitment to the Erin Woods school community over the years. We wish you all the best on your next adventures!
We are still looking for volunteers to help out with our Sports Day! It is taking place on June 19th and we are looking for help between 9-11:30am. If you are able to share your time, please email your student’s classroom teacher and let them know. It is a fun day, filled with many smiles and a great way to get involved!
We are hosting one LAST Book Fair this year… It is a BOGO Free one day-blitz-day on June 17th. ALL ITEMS (books AND novelty items) are included in the sale – it is buy one get one free of an equal or lesser value. It is an all day event, running from 9:30-2:00pm – parents are welcome to come by any time during the day. Please stop by the office when you arrive.
