Dear Parents/Guardians,
It was wonderful to see lots of family members join us yesterday for our annual Terry Fox Run. The students gathered and ran/walked many laps to help raise money and awareness for cancer research. You can still make a donation to the Terry Fox foundation until Friday, Sept. 27 by either sending money with your child or donating using the link and information below.

We are continuing to remind drivers to not park in our staff parking lot, bus zones or in front of fire hydrants. Students and parents/guardians are not to j-walk in front of the school. Please use the cross walk on the corner to cross to the other side. Calgary CPS have been contacted and are sending a constable out to support us in creating a safe drop off and pick up protocols.
We had our School Council AGM on Tuesday and want to thank the parents/guardians who attended. We are happy to announce our School Council & Parent Association for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

We are still looking for someone to fill the role of secretary. If you are interested in filling this position please call the school. No previous experience is necessary. All meeting minutes and agendas will be posted on our School Council tab on the EWS website.
We are having our Meet the Teacher Open House on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 3:30-6:30 PM. You will be able to book in for a block of time to come and meet your child(ren)'s teacher. This meeting is to gather information about the following:
- Classroom protocols
- Upcoming learning opportunities
- Curricular topics
- Upcoming field trips
- How to support learning at home
Teachers will also create an opportunity for you and your child to give input about how best to support them socially, emotionally and academically.

- Monday Sept. 30 - Truth and Reconciliation Day - school closed
- Truth and Reconciliation Assembly - Oct. 3 1:00-1:30 PM - families are welcome to attend
