Dear EWS Families

The students and staff have now settled into their school routines, and it has been wonderful to see all the engaged learning that took place this past week.

Reminders

• Please do not park in bus zones, in front of the fire hydrant by the patrol crosswalk, or in the staff parking lots. We encourage families to park a little farther from the school and walk their child to the designated doors through the back field.
• Be mindful of all traffic bylaws: drive at the posted speed limit and avoid making U-turns near the school. Thank you for helping us keep all pedestrians and drivers safe.

Student Drop-off and Pick-up

• Our bell times are 7:55 am and 2:30 pm. Please ensure your child is dropped off and picked up on time.
• If you arrive after 7:55 am, please go to Door 2 at the back of the school until 8:10 am. Students will be let in and can go directly to their classrooms.
• After 8:10 am, please proceed to the front of the school where your child will be signed in at the office.

School Council AGM

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 6:30 pm in the Learning Commons. All families are encouraged to attend as we review last year, gather community input, elect new members, and set goals for the year ahead. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the council’s work and to help shape our school’s direction.

• Thursday, Sept. 25 – Meet the Teacher Open House, 3:30–6:30 pm
• Monday, Sept. 29 – School Non-Instruction Day (no school for students)
• Tuesday, Sept. 30 – National Day of Truth and Reconciliation (no school for students)
