Dear EWS Families,
We had a fabulous Paw & Play event today, which took place between 9:00-9:45 am. This cross-grade, whole school event was enjoyed by all student participants and gave our students the opportunity to engage in free play. Free play is important for child development as it encourages creativity, social skills and emotional resilience.
We are also incredibly grateful to the Lester-Sanchez family for coordinating with Foothills Creamery to provide ice cream for the kids to enjoy and celebrate this event! We truly appreciate their kindness in making this event special for our students.
More Paws & Play events will take place throughout the year and will always take place on Fridays. Looking forward to our next one!

Just a reminder that Thursday Oct. 24 is picture day for both class and individual student photos.
Book Fair
We will be holding our Scholastic Book Fair in the Learning Commons from Monday Oct. 21-Thursday Oct. 24. Students will have an opportunity to purchase in the day, however, if you would like to bring your child to the book fair between 3-6 pm to purchase items please fill out the form below. This will help us to properly plan for the amount of people arriving in the Learning Commons.
Running & Reading Club
Running and Reading Club will start on Wednesday Oct. 30 from 2:40-4:40 pm. More information about the club and how to register will be sent out in a separate email.
Lost & Found
We will be clearing out our lost and found bin this week and will have it on display on Wednesday, Oct. 23 and Thursday Oct. 24. The teachers will ensure students tour past the lost and found tables to identify and collect any of their lost items. Parents/guardians are also welcome to come in to the school to look at the lost and found. All items remaining at the end of the week will be packaged up and donated.
