Hello Erin Woods Families,
This week many of our grade 5/6’s and 3/4's headed out to the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary! The Inglewood Bird Sanctuary is a natural habitat close to our community where students have opportunities to learn on and from the land. Students were able to connect curricular outcomes from science, social studies, language arts, math, and art while cultivating kinship with the land.
Last week our grade 1/2's took part in a voting process that created an opportunity for students to plan a teddy bear picnic, which happened on Friday last week. The weather was perfect and many 'stuffies' and students enjoyed some time building connections with each other.
Take a look at some of the fun here:
Just a reminder that tomorrow is the beginning of a long weekend, so please note that there is no school tomorrow, or Monday next week. We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday, May 19th.
It’s getting busier and we only have 6 weeks left of our school year! Please check out the Erin Woods School Calendar for information on upcoming events. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school for more information, (403) 777-8140.
Have a fantastic weekend!
Sincerely,
Marla Paxton
